To stay The time from Thanksgiving to New Year's, the hardest couple of weeks to eat a healthy lifestyle or a diet for that matter. We are always sweets, treats and just tries too much food in general. I would like some tips, with that I have contributed in the past to on the track between now and the end of the year remain stock.
1) Make sure you eat, before you take a collection of holiday. You know that you have tried all sorts of unhealthy but tastyFoods. Be sure to not go overboard by eating something that is good for you, before you go go. Try that you are not hungry when you arrive or you'll be tempted a lot more like eating too much.
2) drink some water before you go and alternate higher calorie beverages such as alcoholic beverages, eggnog or hot chocolate with water while you are involved in the holiday region. Drinks can have many hidden calories in itself, so watch out. Soft drinks are also a good choice.
3) Fill in yourPlate with "good" first food. Pick some raw vegetables, but just go to the dip. Turkey breast and lean ham or pork roast are other good choices. Do not forget a nice plate of salad with low fat dressing and fresh fruit for dessert.
4) Do not cut into your favorite holiday treats completely. If you do not allow yourself the occasional small indulgence, you are much more likely to break and binge on all cookies and treats. The key is to enjoy littlePart or bites of your favorite dishes. If you have a soft side for chocolate chip cookies then go ahead and treat yourself, but you limit yourself to one a day or every few days. Of course, the same applies if you prefer cheesecake or gingerbread men.
Eat several small meals per day. This old tip is especially during the holiday season. We tend to skip meals and treat yourself to a great feast with the whole family. Do not starve yourself all day. Get some snacks, and mostimportant to start the day with a good, healthy breakfast. You can stabilize your holiday more about your blood sugar levels to enjoy. You do not want to spend the day is from non-food for hours or the first ready for a nap after overeating are grumpy.
5) Use the busy shopping area and season to burn additional calories. If you move to the mall, park a little farther away, or take your time and do a round of window-shopping through the mall to buy all before. Every few extra stepsthat you count. To not reward it with food. For extra motivation to see more on foot wearing a pedometer. Http://www.walkingofftheweight.com See for more information on hiking trails and a pedometer.
6) Take time to relax. The holidays can be a very stressful season if we do. Many of us (myself included) tend to overeat or to treat ourselves with food when we are stressed. Working in a little more time for you. Sit infront of the fireplace with a good book or your favorite magazine, go make your nails, take a bath or a walk. Do what you calm down for you and help you de-stress work.
Above all, enjoy the holidays and they remember not only about the food, but mainly about the family to spend quality time together. Treat yourself to a new holiday candles, listen to your favorite Christmas carols, or go for a drive through quarter-lit this year. Enjoy thisspecial time of year and enjoy that occasional cookie.
Happy Holidays!
